represent one- and two-step problems involving addition and subtraction of whole numbers to 1,000 using pictorial models, number lines, and equations

represent and solve one- and two-step multiplication and division problems within 100 using arrays, strip diagrams, and equations
- 3.5.C

- Students may choose an operation from a keyword without considering the situation. They may reverse division relationships, confuse factors with products, or treat table pairs as unrelated numbers.
How to Assess It
- Give this exit ticket: “Four shelves hold 18 books each, and 27 more books arrive. Draw a model, write equations, and find the total.”
