What This Standard Means

What Students Need to Do

Students explain how people who start businesses take risks and organize resources. They connect entrepreneurship to jobs, new products, competition, and economic growth in Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

What Mastery Looks Like

Students can identify the entrepreneur in a business scenario and describe the risks involved. They can explain how that business may affect workers, customers, suppliers, and the wider economy.

Common Misconceptions

Students may think entrepreneurship means any kind of work or business ownership. They may confuse government oil revenue with private business activity or assume every new business succeeds and creates growth.

How to Assess It

Exit ticket: An entrepreneur opens a solar-panel factory in Turkey. Name one risk the entrepreneur takes and explain two ways the business could support economic growth.
