What Students Need to Do: Students share investigation results or proposed designs so another person can understand their work. They use clear words, labeled visuals, data, and evidence suited to their audience.
What Mastery Looks Like: Students can create a clear report, poster, or presentation that explains their process, results, and conclusion or solution. They answer questions and clarify confusing details.
Common Misconceptions: Students may list procedures without explaining what the results mean. They may treat opinions as evidence, omit labels from visuals, or include details that do not support their conclusion.
How to Assess It: Give students a small data table and ask them to create a labeled graph with a three-sentence explanation for a classmate. Check for accuracy, evidence, and clarity.
