What This Standard Means
What Students Need to Do
- Students choose information and arrange it in a clear beginning, middle, and end. They create presentations using images, charts, audio, or video that help explain the topic.
What Mastery Looks Like
- Students organize information in a clear order and choose media that supports each main point. Their visuals are readable, accurate, and easy for the audience to follow.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may add pictures, sounds, or animations only as decoration. They may crowd slides with text, use hard-to-read fonts, or present ideas in a confusing order.
How to Assess It
- Give each student a topic card and 10 minutes to create one slide with a title, visual, and key fact. Have students give a 30-second explanation using the slide.
