What Mastery Looks Like: Students use a specific example, such as oil drilling, space research, medicine, or semiconductors. They identify what each place provides and receives, then support the connections with evidence.
Common Misconceptions: Students may describe trade without explaining mutual reliance. They may claim that technology only brings benefits, or name an invention without connecting it to changes beyond Texas.
How to Assess It: Exit ticket: Choose one Texas-related discovery or technology. Explain one way it links Texas to the United States and one way it links Texas to another country.
