- Students use books, museum sites, company pages, professional groups, online platforms, and interviews to research STEM careers. They gather facts about job duties, skills, education, workplaces, and career paths.
What Mastery Looks Like
- Students find information about a STEM career in at least two reliable resources. They summarize the career accurately, identify their sources, and explain what each source contributed.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may think STEM careers are limited to scientists, engineers, doctors, or programmers. They may trust the first search result, copy promotional claims, or confuse required education with preferred qualifications.
How to Assess It
- Use this exit ticket: Name one STEM career, list two facts about it, identify two resources used, and explain why one resource is reliable.
