Students integrate information from multiple visual, quantitative, and oral sources. They evaluate each source’s credibility, accuracy, and relevance before drawing conclusions.

What Mastery Looks Like

The student synthesizes corroborating and conflicting information into one explanation. Source judgments use author, method, evidence, date, and fit to the question.

Common Misconceptions

Students may list sources instead of integrating them. They may equate polished presentation with credibility or reject accurate evidence because it is less relevant.

How to Assess It

Provide a chart, short audio report, and visual source on one issue. Ask students to synthesize a conclusion and evaluate each source on three criteria.
