What Mastery Looks Like

The student states a clear topic, groups accurate information, uses relevant vocabulary, and closes the piece. Facts support the points made.

Common Misconceptions

Students may list facts without a focus. They may add opinions, use vague terms, or stop without closure.

How to Assess It

Give a familiar topic and fact notes. Ask students to write an introduction, two developed points with content words, and a conclusion.
