- Students express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly. They use complete sentences when the task, audience, and situation call for them.
What Mastery Looks Like
- The student states a focused idea in understandable language and adjusts detail for listeners. Complete sentences support formal sharing.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may assume complete sentences are required in every conversational turn. They may speak in fragments when the audience needs fuller explanation.
How to Assess It
- Give an informal partner prompt and a formal class-sharing prompt. Ask students to express the same idea appropriately in both.
