Common Misconceptions
- Students may place Pakistan or Bangladesh in Southeast Asia, or leave island nations out of Southeast Asia. They may also confuse cities with countries, especially Singapore, or treat New Delhi and Delhi as separate countries.

- Give students a blank regional map. Ask them to label South Asia, Southeast Asia, New Delhi, Bangkok, Singapore, and Jakarta, then compare two city locations in one sentence.
