- Students identify the United States and Texas flags. They say the correct pledge for each flag in the right order.
What Mastery Looks Like
- A student matches each pledge to the correct flag and recites both from memory. The student keeps the words and sequence of the two pledges separate.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may confuse the two flags or begin with the wrong pledge. They may swap similar words, skip lines, or copy classmates without knowing the sequence.
How to Assess It
- Show one flag at a time and ask each student to name it and recite its pledge. Record whether the words are complete and in order.
