Common Misconceptions: Students may think drilling alone industrialized Texas or that growth happened immediately across the whole state. They may also confuse industrialization with population growth and overlook transportation, refining, and manufacturing.
How to Assess It: Give an exit ticket asking: “How did Spindletop help Texas become more industrial?” Require three connected effects and one specific industry or location.

Lesson moves
