What Students Need to Do
- Students connect specific Texas festivals, foods, music, dance, art, or traditions to the communities that practice them. They explain what these examples reveal about the state's many cultural influences.

- Students can describe several examples from different Texas communities and explain each cultural connection. They use details about customs, history, language, religion, food, music, or art as evidence.

How to Assess It
