What Mastery Looks Like

A student sets 3x + 10 equal to a vertical angle measuring 70 degrees and finds x = 20. The student then identifies an adjacent supplementary angle as 110 degrees.

Common Misconceptions

Students may assume adjacent angles are always equal or confuse complementary and supplementary totals. They may solve for x but fail to substitute it to find the requested angle measure.

How to Assess It
