Common Misconceptions: Students may confuse precision with adding many modifiers or include sensory details unrelated to the narrator's focus. They may rely on vague emotional labels instead of observable details.
How to Assess It: Give a plain account of entering an empty gym. Ask students to revise it from a nervous narrator's viewpoint using precise language and three relevant sensory details.
