Common Misconceptions: Students may think Hammurabi created the first laws or that his code treated everyone equally. They may confuse Sargon with later rulers or treat stories about Gilgamesh as fully verified history.
How to Assess It: Exit ticket: Explain how one action by Sargon, Hammurabi, or Nebuchadnezzar II changed Mesopotamian government or society. Include one accurate detail and a cause-and-effect phrase.
