Solve problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane. Include use of coordinates and absolute value to find distances between points with the same x-coordinate or the same y-coordinate.

Common Misconceptions
- Students often reverse the x and y coordinates or miss a negative sign when plotting. They may count grid lines instead of unit spaces. Some add coordinate values rather than finding the absolute value of their difference.
How to Assess It
- Ask students to plot A(-3, 4), B(2, 4), C(2, -1), and D(-3, -1), then find AB and BC using absolute value expressions.
