- The student writes 7/10 as 0.7 and 43/100 as 0.43. The student explains the value of each decimal digit using fraction language.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may write 7/10 as 0.07 or 43/100 as 0.043. They may read the decimal point as a separator without considering place value.
How to Assess It
