- Students determine an Algebra II function from context as an explicit expression, recursive process, or calculation steps. Linear, quadratic, exponential, and sequence contexts are included, with sequences written recursively and explicitly in subscript notation.

- The student chooses a form that fits the context and defines every quantity and initial value. Explicit and recursive forms generate matching values where both apply.
