What Students Need to Do
- Students develop questions and join shared research or exploration to answer them and build and share knowledge. They contribute observations and findings.
What Mastery Looks Like
- The student asks a question that can be explored, participates in investigation, and shares a relevant finding. The answer connects to the question.
Common Misconceptions
- Students may ask preference questions or collect unrelated observations. They may let others investigate without contributing.
How to Assess It
- Give a shared topic. Ask the student to pose one question, join a provided exploration, and share one answer through speech, drawing, or writing.
