What Students Need to Do: Students choose a clear way to share what they learned from a simple inquiry. They may speak, draw and label, write, act, or combine formats.
What Mastery Looks Like: A student chooses speech, drawing, labels, or a combination that fits the audience and purpose. The student shares accurate findings clearly and can answer a simple question about them.
Common Misconceptions: Students may think presenting means only speaking or only writing. They may add unrelated facts, rely on an unlabeled picture, or speak too softly for listeners to understand.
How to Assess It: Ask each student to share one learned fact about an animal using speech, a labeled drawing, or both. Check that the format makes the fact clear.

Lesson moves

Have students study a classroom object, draw one finding, add a label, and present it to a partner.
Ask, "Would you tell, draw, or act out your finding for another class, and why?"
Play Presentation Match by having students pair topic cards with speech, poster, drawing, or demonstration cards.
