What Students Need to Do: Students select a clear way to share what they learned from a class question or investigation. They may speak, write, draw, or combine words, pictures, and audio. Their choice should fit the audience and purpose.
What Mastery Looks Like: A student can name key findings, choose a fitting format, and present information in an order others can follow. Pictures, labels, spoken words, or digital elements support the facts.
Common Misconceptions: Students may copy every note instead of selecting the main findings. They may treat pictures as decoration, speak too softly, or choose a format that does not fit the audience.
How to Assess It: Give students three facts from a class investigation. Ask them to choose a poster, oral report, or picture slide and present the facts clearly.

Lesson moves

Give pairs picture cards and fact cards about an animal, then have them build a labeled poster and explain it to the class.
Ask, “Would you share playground survey results with a speech, a note, or a poster? Explain your choice.”
Play Format Match: students draw an audience card and a purpose card, then choose oral, written, or picture-based delivery.
