Model with a student volunteer.
'When music plays, find a partner. When it stops, you should be quizzing.'
Start music. Students mingle, find partners, quiz.
Circulate, listening and helping with coaching.
After 8-10 minutes, stop. 'How many different partners did you have?'
Review: Which cards were hardest? Let's practice those together.
Differentiation Strategies
Color-code cards by difficulty; allow students to choose level. Pair ELLs with supportive partners initially. For advanced students, require explanation of why the answer is correct.
Assessment Guidelines
Circulate and listen for accuracy. Note common mistakes. Count how many successful trades students complete. End with whole-class review of challenging cards.
